Kenrik Products

Kenrik designs products for video control transmission (UTP line), video distribution (16X48 BNC Distribution Amplifier) and PTZ controllers and up-the-coax receiver/drivers. We use the highest quality components in order to build durable, stable products with the best possible video quality.

UTP Line

A basic UTP system consists of two passive baluns that attach to each end of Unshielded Twisted Pair wiring (UTP/Cat 5 cable) to transmit composite video up to 1,000 feet (305 m). If many channels of video need transmitting, then a 16 channel passive receiver is your better choice. A passive UTP transmission system requires no power.

However, if video is transmitted over 1,000 feet, is experiencing an unusually high amount of interference or is connecting to a digital device requiring above average video quality then a Kenrik active receiver can restore video by amplifying and equalizing the signal.

  • The KR1001PB is a single channel passive balun designed to provide a high quality, low cost alternative to coax when transmitting a camera signal under 1,000 feet.
  • The KR1016PR is a 16 channel passive balun designed to provide a high quality, low cost alternative to coax when transmitting many camera signals under 1,000 feet.
  • The KR3001AR is a single channel active receiver that conditions a single channel of video that is either experiencing an unusually high amount of interference, exceeds the 1,000-foot limitations of a passive system or requires above average video quality to a digital device.
  • The KR3016AR is a 16 channel active receiver designed to provide stable and reliable high quality video to meet the demands of today’s high-end digital equipment such as DVR/NVR’s and flat panel monitors.
  • The KR1501AR is a durable, high quality single channel active receiver that accepts real-time color or monochrome composite (CCTV) video transmitted over un- shielded twisted pair (UTP) cable from any passive balun or UTP enabled camera up to 1,500 feet.
  • The KR751PBMJ-VPD is a durable, passive video transceiver balun that converts real time color or mono- chrome composite (CCTV) video from a 75-ohm BNC con- nector to a 100-ohm unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable up to 750 feet.

Distribution Amplifier

  • The KRDA16X48V is a high-resolution video BNC distribution amplifier with signal condition monitoring. (16 inputs, 48 outputs)
  • The KRDA16X64VDM is a high-resolution video BNC distribution amplifier with signal condition monitoring. Each of the 16 BNC video input signals is buffered to ensure all four (or eight) corresponding BNC video outputs are of equal strength and quality.

Power Supplies

Part #: TP2440/TP2450

All Kenrik UTP active receivers and distribution amplifiers can be powered by a wide acceptance of AC or DC power giving the installer greater flexibility when designing the overall CCTV system. Since all Kenrik products that require power accept the same specifications of power and are fully isolated, one floating power source can power multiple units.

The Kenrik rack mount systems are not shipped with an individual power supply. However, if you prefer, Kenrik will include the appropriate transformer.

Recommended power supplies that work for any powered Kenrik product includes:

  • The Altronix TP2440 plug-in transformer provides 24VAC with a total of 1.67 amp output current.
  • The Altronix TP2450 plug-in transformer provides 24VAC with a total of 2 amp output current.
